Chen Takes it Down With Kings

With 275,000 going into the pot preflop, three players saw the flop of J63 get put out by the dealer. James Chen checked from the small blind, Seth Davies checked from the cutoff, and Tomas Ribeiro checked behind from the button.

All three players checked down 4 turn and 6 river. Chen flipped over a pair of kings with KK88 and took down the pot, as both of his opponents mucked.

Kronwitter Adds to His Stack

Jason Koon had previously chipped up without showdown and then took on Jonas Kronwitter when he bet 160,000 on the 9942 turn. Kronwitter called and they checked the K river, after which Kronwitter won the pot with his QQ98 for trips nines.

In the meanwhile, Erik Seidel and Christopher Frank have been eliminated with the latter option to buy back in for the second shell.

Christopher Frank and two other players limped, before Jonas Kronwitter potted it out of the small blind. Only Frank made the call with roughly 80,000 behind.

Heads-up to a flop of A43 where Kronwitter put out a bet of 18,000. Frank jammed, which was instantly called by Kronwitter.

Kronwitter was ahead with top set, but had to fade Frank's straight outs. The 4 on the turn sealed Frank's exit from the tournament, as Kronwitter improved to a boat. The 6 came on the river and Frank was eliminated.

Schulman Gets Some Chips Off Andrejevic

Picking up the action with the turn showing 933A, Nick Schulman checked and Andjelko Andrejevic bet 30,000 for Schulman to call. They checked the 4 on the river and the A863 for treys full of aces won the pot for Schulman.

Simao Folds to Chen's Pressure

Joao Simao came in with a raise to 28,000 from under the gun with only James Chen calling from the hijack.

Simao started out with a check on the 104K flop, and Chen bet 32,000. Simao slid in the call.

The 9 landed on the turn and Simao check-folded to Chen's bet of 88,000.

Seth Davies and Santhosh Suvarna were playing for stacks when the latter flopped the straight with a redraw to a better straight on 854.

Suvarna's 9876 were up against AAJ6 and Davies bricked the 9 turn only to spike the 10 on the river, further boosting the already big stack of the recent first-time WSOP bracelet winner.

The 3 landed on the turn and Ajez led out for 106,000. Gryko called again.

Once the Q fell on the river, Ajez decided to check. Gryko bet 195,000, which got Ajez to lay his hand down.

Gabriel Andrade limped under the gun, which started a parade of limps behind him. Tomer Daniel, Lou Garza, and Fahredin Mustafov all called directly behind him. Jonathan Depa completed from the small blind, and Eelis Parssinen checked his option.

The Q73 saw action check to Andrade, who bet 28,000. Daniel and Garza called, Mustafov folded, and then Depa raised the pot. The total was 182,000. Action folded to Daniel, who thought for a while before making the call. Garza got out of the way.

The turn was the K, and Depa bet enough to put Daniel all in. Daniel made the call.
