Benny Glaser and Tomasz Gluszko were heads-up on the second draw when Glaser bet from the big blind. Gluszko then raised in the cutoff and Glaser reraised. Gluszko came back with another raise and Glaser called.
Both players stood pat and Gluszko stuck in his last 11,000. He showed 6♦5♠3♣2♥A♣, but Glaser had 6♣4♥3♥2♠A♦ to scoop the pot and send Gluszko to the rail.
Dean Joe bet from the button on the second draw and Adam Owen called in the cutoff.
Owen took one, while Joe stood pat and bet his last chips. Owen called and turned over 7♠6♦5♥3♣2♠ for a 7-6 and Badugi. Joe flung his arms in the air in frustration before mucking and getting up from his seat.
"You hit your gin card, right? You can be honest," Joe asked Owen.
"I had a Badugi, but I did hit the deuce," Owen replied.
Justin Liberto raised from the button and Russell Clayton called in the small blind. In the big blind, Christopher Vitch made it three bets and both opponents called.
Clayton took one and the others took two. Vitch led and both called.
On the second draw, Clayton and Vitch took one and Liberto drew two. Vitch bet, Liberto raised, Clayton folded, Vitch three-bet, and Liberto called.
Vitch was pat and Liberto took one. Vitch bet and Liberto quickly called. Vitch tabled 7x6x5x4x2x for number four which was good to scoop a sizeable pot.
Adam Greenlee stood pat and moved all in on the second draw, while Timothy Knauf called after taking two. Knauf again drew two on the last draw and Greenlee patted.
Greenlee turned over Jx8x7x6x4x, while Knauf had 7x5x2x showing as he peeled his last two cards. The first was a 10x, but he made a pair with 5x on his last card and Greenlee doubled up.
Laurent Manderlier: XxXx/5xJxJxAx/Xx
Christopher Vitch: XxXx/7x8x2xKx/Xx
Scott Bohlman: XxXx/6x9x10x10x/Xx
Justin Liberto: XxXx/5xJx9xKx - folded on sixth street
Scott Bohlman completed and Laurent Manderlier raised. Justin Liberto reraised and Christopher Vitch called, as did Bohlman and Manderlier.
Vitch bet on fourth street and Bohlman raised. Manderlier and Liberto called, but Vitch reraised. Bohlman reraised again, Manderlier and Liberto called, and Vitch reraised once more. All three opponents called.
"Oh baby. What a life," Vitch said as he led out on fifth. Bohlman just called this time, while Manderlier moved all in for 86,000. Liberto called and Vitch asked the floor if he could put in another raise. The tournament official told him Manderlier didn't make it enough, and Vitch and Bohlman just called.
"Whoever wins this pot is going to have a one-fifth of the chips," Manderlier said.
"Can you bring the bracelet here? Just put the bracelet in the pot," Bohlman joked. Vitch bet again on sixth and Bohlman called, while Liberto finally got out of the way.
Vitch then bet on seventh and Bohlman called. Vitch showed 6x5x4x for 7-6-5-4-2, but Manderlier turned over 7x4x3x for 7-5-4-3-A to win the massive main pot and quadruple up, while Vitch took the side pot.
"Did I win the bracelet? Just end the tournament right here," Manderlier said. Even players on other tables spent the next few minutes talking about this hand.
"That might be a record for this stage of a limit tournament. A world record, never to be duplicated," Vitch added.
