Runner-Runner Straight Sends Sok to the Rail

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Tyler Sok limped in from the cutoff, followed by Yen Chen on the button. Tom Thomas completed in the small blind, and Aaron Valencia checked his option in the big blind to take the four-way flop.

The dealer tabled 276, and all four players checked it through to the 3 turn.

Thomas took the lead with a bet of 200,000. Valencia quickly folded, and Sok, after a brief look at his cards, moved all in for about 520,000. Chen got out of the way, and the pressure was back on Thomas. He took a moment to count his stack, clearly uncomfortable, but eventually made the call.

Sok turned over 33 for a set of threes, while Thomas revealed 75 for top pair and a gutshot straight draw. He needed a four and found it when the 4 landed on the river, completing his straight and eliminating Sok.
