Mamut Doubles with Quads

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Nikolai Mamut

Jihoon Kim kicked things off with an under-the-gun raise to 210,000. Sitting right next to him, Nikolai Mamut moved all in for 1,320,000. Action folded to Honcheong Lee, who reshoved for around 1,230,000, putting the decision back on Kim.

Faced with two all-ins ahead, Kim hesitated and tried to lighten the moment by asking the table, "If I open-fold, can you teach me a bit?" The table responded with a round of head shakes, drawing a laugh from Kim as he added, "No free lesson?"

In the end, Kim laid it down, showing 66. That left Mamut and Lee to battle it out.

Lee was looking to improve, but the board came J454J, giving Mamut a full house on the turn and quads on the river. He scored a massive double and stayed alive, while Lee’s run came to a sudden end.
