Nines Are Good for Lang
Level 4
: Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
2014 WSOP Main Event finalist Jorryt Van Hoof opened to 1,500 from middle position. Douglas Lang called from the cutoff, but Shohei Kawano in the small blind squeezed to 8,000. Van Hoof folded even before the big blind while Lang made the call.
Kawano bet 6,000 on the 5♦7♣8♠ flop, and the exact same amount on the Q♣ turn. Lang called twice.
The 10♣ river was checked by Kawano with A♥K♣. Lang checked back with 9♠9♦ and won the pot.
