Pointer Wounds The Dragon
Level 5
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
David "The Dragon" Pham raised to 1,200 from first position and in the big blind, John Pointer called.
The flop rolled out K♣J♣2♣ and Pointer checked to Pham who bet 1,100. Pointer raised to 5,000 and Pham called.
On the 6♠ turn, Pointer cranked it up to 8,000 and Pham continued.
Pointer bet on the river J♠ to the tune of 17,000 and Pham went into the tank.
After some time he tossed in the call and Pointer turned over A♣6♣ for the nut flush. It was good for the pot as the three-time WSOP bracelet winner tossed his hand into the muck.
