The turn brought the 2♦ and a 15,000-chip bet from Nan Li in the big blind. Brandon Barlow called from early position, as did Jason Daly in middle position. Cameron Widergren bowed out from the button.
The river was the 8♣. Li paused for a while and bet almost half his stack, 23,000.
Barlow, who had 25,300 chips remaining, went deep into the tank. He came out just under five minutes later, and made the call. Daly folded.
Li turned over 8♦8♠, having made a full house on the river.
A distraught Barlow held onto his cards for a bit, staring in disbelief. He took a picture of the table, then gave his cards to the dealer.
