Khavin Drags the Pot with Top Two

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

With around 2,000 in the middle and the flop showing 279, Filipp Khavin checked from the big blind. Fabian Niederreiter, seated in the hijack, fired out a bet of 800, and Khavin made the call.

The Q hit the turn, and Khavin checked again. This time, Niederreiter ramped it up to 5,500, but Khavin wasn’t going anywhere and called once more.

On the 2 river, Khavin checked for a third time. Niederreiter glanced at his cards and paused briefly before opting to check back. Khavin turned over Q9 for top two, prompting a nod of respect from Niederreiter as Khavin scooped the pot and said with a grin, “Good check.”
