Volynsky Drags an Early Pot
Level 6
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
With around 10,000 chips in the pot on a board of K♠6♦J♣8♦, Lara Eisenberg checked from middle position and Victoria Volynsky fired out a bet of 5,000 on the button. Eisenberg called.
When the 2♠ hit the river, both decided to quickly tap the table and take it to showdown, with Volynsky showing A♣K♦ for top pair. Eisenberg couldn't beat that and mucked, allowing Volynsky to grow her stack early on.
