Sternberg Doubles Through Spataru

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Andrei Spataru raised to 2,400 on the button and both Ryan Laplante in the small blind and Alan Sternberg in the big blind called.

The flop rolled out 943 and Laplante checked over to Sternberg who bet 5,000, earning a call from Spataru. Laplante raised to 15,000 and Sternberg called while Spataru jammed all in for 63,300 effective. Laplante went into the tank for some time before deciding to throw his hand into the muck while Sternberg called to put himself at risk.

Alan Sternberg: 97 All in
Andrei Spataru: 33

Sternberg ended up beating Spataru's set with the runout of 107 to give him a flush and he doubled to survive.
