The River For The Win(ter)
Level 8
: Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Action was picked up on a flop in a pot between Osmin Dardon in late position and Sean Winter in the cutoff.
The flop read 10♣6♣2♣ and Dardon checked over to Winter who bet 7,500 and Dardon called.
On the turn J♥, Dardon checked over to Winter who bet 17,000 and Dardon called.
"I have a pair," said Dardon after both players checked the 8♦ river. Neither one of them turned over their hands immediately.
"I believe you," said Winter as he waited for Dardon to turn over his hand. Dardon showed 4♥4♠ for a pair of fours, but it was second best against Winter's 9♠8♠ for a pair of eights.
"You rivered me?" asked Dardon as he stared at the board, while Winter raked in the pot.
