Merson Extracts Value From Viox

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Greg Merson limped in with AJ from middle position and Chris Viox limped J8 on the button. Santiago Montes completed with K5 in the small blind, and Dmitrii Perfilev checked 108 in the big blind.

They saw a flop of 72Q, where all four players checked to the J turn. When the action got to Merson, he fired out 75,000, which only Viox called.

A 2 on the river paired the board and Merson bet 110,000. Viox, with his pair of jacks, couldn't resist the price and called. Merson showed a pair of jacks with a better kicker, and took down the pot.
