Gibbons Picks off Hesse's Bluff
Level 25
: Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Paul Gibbons made it 125,000 under the gun and only Stephen Hesse called out of the big blind.
Hesse checked the J♣8♥8♦ flop and Gibbons bet the minimum of 60,000. Hesse stuck around with a call.
Two checks followed the 2♦ turn to see the A♥ come on the river. Hesse led out for 185,000, and Gibbons called. Hesse showed a bluff with 6♠4♦ and lost the pot to Gibbons' K♣J♦ for a pair of jacks.
