Minghini Has Kicker Problems

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
James Minghini

Giorgiy Skhulukhiya opened 88 to 240,000 from under the gun and Greg Merson looked down at KK on the button and three-bet to 750,000. Skhulukhiya quickly let it go.

In the next hand, Derek Sudell raised to 250,000 from the button with KJ and Jarod Minghini called in the small blind with J9.

Both made top pair on the 4J5 flop, where Minghini checked and Sudell threw out 400,000. Minghini called and they watched the 7 land on the turn, which checked through.

A 3 completed the runout and Minghini led out for 600,000. Sudell didn't need to think for too long before he called and took the pot with his bigger kicker.
