The Chip Down of Guerra
Level 34
: Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Kohei Arai A♦7♦ opened the action from the cutoff and picked up two callers: Lautaro Guerra on the button and Leo Margets in the small blind.
The flop came 2♣7♣10♥, and after Margets checked, so did Arai. Guerra seized the initiative with a bet of 1,100,000, but Margets responded with an all-in shove holding J♣10♦. Arai quickly got out of the way, while Guerra took a moment, counted out his stack, and eventually made the call with 8♥8♠.
Margets was ahead with top pair. The 4♥ on the turn and the 3♥ on the river changed nothing, and Margets scored a clean double to stay in tournament.
