Negreanu Folds Twice

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Dmitry Blyumin raised to 900 in early position. Ian Hamilton called in late position, Jessica Cai tossed in chips from the small blind, and Daniel Negreanu defended his big blind.

It checked to Hamilton on the 22A flop, who received three folds for his bet of 2,200.

On the next deal, Thomas Brewer limped in from late position. Alan Mehamed did so in the cutoff, Cai came along on the button, and Negreanu completed the small blind.

The 1046 flop was checked by all players. Negreanu then led out for 1,200, and Brewer called. They and all others involved in the hand folded when Mehamed raised to 4,500, however, just before the players were sent to dinner.

Astedt Wins Amid Strange Dynamic

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Niklas Astedt
Niklas Astedt

Niklas Astedt raised under the gun to 900, but when action folded to Christopher Roat in the hijack, he announced "Raise" before throwing in a 1,000 chip. A couple of players at the table then advised the dealer that Roat should be held to a raise of 1,400. Roat had no objections and put 1,400 into the middle.

Action then folded back to Astedt, who had new information to work with. After taking a second, he four-bet to 4,500 and Roat called, putting an end to the preflop drama.

Roat commented that this dynamic is a good way of getting yourself into trouble, before the two players went to a flop.

Astedt continued with a bet of 1,500 on the 779 flop, which was met with a raise to 4,500 by Roat. The clicking wasn't over yet, though, as Astedt three-bet to 12,000. This put an end to the hand, as Roat immediately returned his cards to the dealer.

Baggett's Boat Leaves Gerloff Short

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Dakota Baggett
Dakota Baggett

Three ways on a flop of J3J, Dakota Baggett checked from early position and Martin Gerloff checked from middle position to Artur Martirosian, who bet 5,000. Both Baggett and Gerloff called.

Action checked through on the 5 turn and then Baggett led out for a hefty bet of 35,000 on the 7 river.

Gerloff called, Martirosian got out of the way, and Baggett tabled 55 for a turned full house.

Gerloff shook his head and sent his card into the muck — conceding the large pot to Baggett.

Leng Hangs on With Queens

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Richard Dubini raised to 1,000 first to act and was three-bet to 2,200 by William Schuch from middle position. Carlos Guerrero called cold on the button and Ryan Leng called cold as well from the small blind. Dubini then made it 8,000 to go, which got a fold from Schuch and Guerrero and a call from Leng.

Leng and Dubini proceeded to check down on the 363 flop, 7 turn, and 10 river.

Leng turned over QQ and Dubini showed he held AK before sending them into the muck.

Matusow Gets Respect

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

Jerome King called an early position raise of 1,000, before Mike Matusow three-bet on the button to 3,700.

The initial raiser folded, which brought the action back to King. He only needed a couple of seconds to make a decision, folding AQ face up. Matusow half returned the favour, showing King the A.

Hennigan's Sneaky Big Slick

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Daniel Escherich raised in middle position, and only John Hennigan made the call, defending his big blind.

Hennigan check-called a bet of 800 on the A106 flop, after which, the action ground to a halt as both players checked the 4 turn and the Q river.

Hennigan turned over his AK, good for top pair, and Escherich mucked his hand.
