Maceiras Eliminated by Ohashi

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Hideaki Ohashi raised and earned three callers to the Q52 flop on which Juan Maceiras checked out of the big blind. Ohashi continued for 3,000 into 9,500 and two opponents called. Maceiras Lapido then check-jammed for 58,800 and Ohashi went all-in over the top to isolate.

Juan Maceiras: Q2 All in
Hideaki Ohashi: 55

The J turn and 9 river changed nothing and that spelled the end for the Spaniard. Two years ago, Maceiras finished eighth in the WSOP Main Event for a seven-figure payday but has now been ousted on Day 2.

Tamaki Sends Mandryk to the Rail

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Shoichiro Tamaki opened from the hijack and Nicholas Mandryk called in the cutoff. In the small blind, Michael Vinokur put in a three-bet and both opponents called to create a bloated three-way pot.

On the 10106 flop, Vinokur led for 7,000 and Tamaki called before Mandryk put in a small raise to 17,000. Vinokur would fold after a long tank with what he later said was aces, and Tamaki called again.

The turn brought the 9 as Tamaki checked in flow to Mandryk who jammed for 88,400 and Tamaki snap-called.

Nicholas Mandryk: QJ All in
Shoichiro Tamaki: J10

Mandryk held an open-ender with a flush draw against the trip tens of Tamaki, who needed to fade many outs to drag a massive pot. Many from the table stood up to sweat the river card as the fate of each player awaited, and dealer peeled the 9 to give Tamaki a full house. Mandryk was left with nothing as he exited the room after a massive collision in a pot worth almost 250 big blinds.

Ajez Faces an Overbet

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Najeem Ajez

With around 5,000 in the middle on a flop of 3103 Najeem Ajez checked from the big blind and then called a bet of 1,000 out of Joseph Krasner from middle position.

The 5 rolled off on the turn and Ajez check-called another bet from Krasner, this time for 4,000.

The Q hit the river, and Ajez checked for the last time before Krasner put out a huge overbet of 35,000. Ajez looked visibly perplexed by the bet and took a few moments before choosing to fold.

A Real Casino Royale for Dellemann

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A completed board of AQJKQ was spread across the felt with only a small pot of around 4,500 in the middle. Benjamin Dellemann led out with a bet of 2,000 but his opponent quickly threw his cards away.

However, Dellemann couldn't help but show his A10 for a Royal Flush as he picked up a small pot.

"First one," Dellemann said about his Royal Flush.

"No better time than the Main Event," another player responded.

Mitchell Takes on the River

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Martin Knorr opened from late position to 2,200 and Brandon Mitchell called from the hijack. Joel Micka made the bet 7,500 from the cutoff and both players called.

The AJ6 flop was checked to Micka who bet 8,200. Knorr folded, but Mitchell called.

A 4 came on the turn and Mitchell checked. Micka bet 25,000 and Mitchell called.

The J river prompted Mitchell to bet and Micka quickly threw his cards into the muck, passing the pot to Mitchell.

Jesse Lonis opened to 2,200 from middle position. Steven Hamm called on the button, and Rajiv Sakaria defended his big blind. Lonis continued for 2,300 on the AKK flop, seeing Hamm call and Sakaria check-call.

It then checked to Hamm on the 7 turn, who fired a bet of 6,000. Sakiria called, prompting Lonis to get out of the way. The 8 river was quickly checked to showdown, where Hamm's K10 awarded him the pot.

Park Knows How Takayama Plays

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Mike Takayama opened to 2,200 in middle position and got called by Jibok Park to see the flop.

Both players checked the flop of K63. The turn 7 dropped and Park checked once again. Takayama bet 3,000 which was enough to make Park fold.

Adin Aragon, who was also on the table, started asking Takayama what he had and the latter showed one card K. Park chimed in saying that he knew how Takayama played, which was why he folded.
