Bosman Chips Up With Cowboys

Daniele Primerano made it 160,000 with K♠J♥ from under the gun and Michael Mizrachi called from middle position. Hans Bosman squeezed to 540,000 out of the small blind, and only Mizrachi called.

Heads-up to the J♦2♣8♠ flop that saw Bosman bet 325,000. Mizrachi stuck around with a call.

The A♣ peeled off on the turn and both players checked to see the 3♣ appear on the river. Another two checks followed, which meant Bosman turned over the winner with K♥K♣ for a pair of kings. Mizrachi mucked 7♥7♦, and the pot was sent to Bosman.

Peters' Main Event Story Reaches a Sad End

Donnie Peters has told many Main Event stories in his long career as a poker journalist, but his own just hit an unhappy conclusion.

Mitchell Hynam had opened to 120,000 under the gun before Peters three-bet to 360,000 in middle position. Hynam came back with a four-bet to 900,000 and Peters moved all in for 2,125,000. Hynam took a minute before calling.

Peters was ahead with his kings and poised for the double up until the flop brought A♥J♠8♦, giving Hynam top pair. The rest of the board ran out 9♥4♣ and Peters was sent to the rail.

Pisarenko Sends Locquet Deep Into the Tank, Then to the Rail

In a blind versus blind battle, Romain Locquet bet 175,000 on a flop of Q♣J♠7♥ and Maksim Pisarenko called.

Locquet bet another 500,000 on the 9♣ turn, but this time Pisarenko raised to 2,475,000. Locquet went deep into the tank, taking several minutes to ponder the decision.

"Take your time. Big pot," Francis Anderson told. After more than five minutes, Locquet eventually stuck in his last 1,500,000 more and turned over Q♠10♦ for top pair and a straight draw, but Pisarenko already had the straight with 10♣8♣.

The 6♣ river improved Pisarenko to a flush and Locquet's Main Event run, which included memorably cracking Jared Bleznick's aces back on Day 1, came to an end.

Beckenstein Spikes the River to Bust Augustino

Anthony Augustino opened to 120,000 from the hijack before Joshua Beckenstein made it 350,000 from the small blind. Augustino went into a lengthy tank, checking his cards multiple times before moving all in for 1,125,000.

"Only thing making me pause is the Hollywood," commented Beckenstein, who was expertly handling a fidget cube.

After getting Augsutino's chip count, Beckenstein called.

Beckenstein went from three outs to seven after picking up a gutshot on the 10♣6♠9♦ flop. The 8♦ turn was clean for Augustino but Beckenstein made his straight on the J♣ river, putting a grimace on everyone's face.

Even Beckenstein felt he didn't deserve that one, shaking his head as he collected the pot.

Camp Gets Taylor to Fold the River

With 7♦7♥, Esther Taylor raised to 130,000 from middle position. She was called by Murilo Milhomem on the button holding K♦Q♣, and William Camp calling out of the small blind A♥6♥.

Camp knuckled the action over to Taylor on the 9♥4♠A♠ flop, and she bet 185,000. Milhomem folded, but Camp called.

Two checks followed the 4♥ turn and the 3♦ came on the river. Camp bet 250,000, and Taylor went into the tank. Taylor thought better of it and folded, which meant Camp won the pot.

Jattin Runs Into a Premium

Michael Mizrachi raised to 125,000 in the hijack with K♣J♣ and Farid Jattin three-bet shoved all in for 1,130,000 in the cutoff. Stefan Nemetz picked up a monster in the small blind and just flat-called. Mizrachi let his hand go and the two remaining hands were tabled.

Jattin found himself in a dominated position and the flop of Q♦6♦5♦ just narrowed his outs even further. The 10♠ on the turn changed nothing as the J♠ on the river gave both players a staight but it was Nemeth with the better of the two.

Holding A♦J♣, Stephen Hesse raised to 135,000 from middle position and was three-bet to 400,000 by Paul Gibbons in the hijack with K♠K♦. When it got back to Hesse, he decided to call.

After Hesse checked the flop of A♣10♥7♥, Gibbons placed out a continuation-bet of 275,000. Hasse took a few moments and then called.

Both players checked the 8♦ turn to see the A♥ appear on the river. Hesse led out for 310,000, and Gibbons went into the tank. After deliberating for a while, Gibbons folded and relinquished the pot to Hesse.

Schulze Extends Chip Lead With Cowboys

Sebastian Schulze opened K♦K♣ from middle position and Mounir Tajiou called in the small blind holding A♠J♣. Seungmook Jung also called in the big blind with 9♣7♦.

They saw a flop of 6♣10♦J♠, which checked to Schulze. He threw out a bet of 270,000 with his overpair, and Tajiou called with top pair. Jung did have a gutshot, but didn't want to tangle and folded.

On the 4♠ turn, Tajiou check-called a bet of 960,000 to see the 5♠ hit the river. Again Tajiou checked, then Schulze unleashed a bet of 1,800,000. Tajou had 4,400,000 behind and needed a lot of time to think about it before he acted. Eventually, Tajiou did call and mucked when he saw the bad news.

Schulze's stack climbed to well over 15,000,000 after that hand.

Englishman Will Kassouf raised from under the gun before Irishman Stephen Kehoe reraised to 630,000 from the button. Kassouf four-bet to 1,760,000 and snap-called when Kehoe moved all in for around 3,300,000.

Kassouf left his seat, imploring the dealer for a clean runout, which is what he got as his aces remained best after the Q♦8♣6♥3♣A♦ runout.

"Come on England!" Kassouf repeatedly shouted before offering his GG's to Kehoe.

"Finally on the right side of it," he said before telling the table about the bad beats he suffered nine years ago.
