On the other hand, the pair saw the 6♣3♥2♦ flop and both checked. On the 4♠ turn, Gorodinsky bet 80,000 and Wasserson called. Two quick checks followed on the K♦ river, and Gorodinsky flipped 7♦4♣ open for a pair.

In the 904th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway, Kyna England, and Mike Holtz are joined by Grosvenor Poker Pro Jamie Nixon at Level 9 Studio in Las Vegas to talk about the latest from the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP). That includes the WSOP's controversial decision regarding the alleged Millionaire Maker chip dumping between Jesse Yaginuma and James Carroll, which may or may not include lifetime bans. It's a lively debate that examines the situation from multiple angles, including the likely involvement of the Nevada Gaming Commission.

They then take a look at a controversial hand posted by Lexy Gavin-Mather where a dealer error that may have brought a much-needed seven out of the muck had the poker world talking. From there, the trio highlight the historic win by Shiina Okamoto, who successfully defended her Ladies Event title after finishing runner-up three years ago. She also had to put up with Phil Hellmuth Jr., for better or worse, as the crew debated. That wasn't the only historic win, as Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi won the prestigious $50,000 Poker Players Championship for an unbelievable fourth time. Toss in the first gold bracelet won by Darren Elias, and there were some big winners to be celebrated.

Jamie Nixon then talks about Grosvenor Poker and the upcoming Goliath in Coventry, how his buddy is running a daily bracket of funny poker names, and then Chad explains why there's a giant cutout of Espan Jorstad's head on the set (Hint: it came from the recent GTOWizard party).

Mike Gorodinsky raised on the button, and Eric Wasserson called in the big blind. Wasserson drew four cards, and Gorodinsky took two. Wasserson checked and called after Gorodinsky fired a bet.

Wasserson drew two, while Gorodinsky asked for one card. Another check call from Wasserson led to the final draw. Wasserson took one, and Gorodinsky stood pat.

After looking at his last card, Wasserson led out with a bet. Gorodinsky replied with a raise, good enough to take the pot as Wasserson let his hand go.

After chopping the previous pot with a flush on the board, Eric Wasserson raised on the button and Mike Gorodinsky called in the big blind.

Gorodinsky checked another flop of J♣5♣6♣, and called when Wasserson tossed out a bet. Gorodinsky check-called the 5♥ turn, before leading out with a bet on the 10♣ river.

Wasserson stared down his opponent before sliding in the call. Gorodinsky tabled A♣10♠ for a flush, raking in the pot as Wasserson mucked.

Mike Gorodinsky called on the button and Eric Wasserson checked. The flop was 5♠4♣3♣ and Wasserson checked. Gorodinsky casually flicked a T-100,000 chip in and Wasseron called. The A♣ turn and 10♠ river got checked down.

Wasserson showed Q♠6♦4♣3♥ for two pair to win the hand.

In the final hand of PLO, Gorodinsky again called preflop and checked the 6♥2♥2♦ flop behind. Wasserson bet 80,000 on the 3♥ turn and Gorodinsky called. The 5♣ river saw both players check.

Gorodinsky showed the winner this time with J♥10♥8♠5♦ to move up again to nearly 3 million in chips.

Mike Gorodinsky's bring-in was completed by Eric Wasserson, and the call was made. Both players checked on fourth street, with Wasserson checking again on fifth.

Gorodinsky bet his ace, and Wasserson made the call. Sixth street saw Wasserson check, and Gorodinsky said that he wasn't sure what to do in that spot showing trip nines.

"If you have an ace, you should check," replied Wasserson. Gorodinsky checked, and action repeated on seventh street.

Wasserson tabled his queen-jack, which was good as Gorodinsky showed his paired ace and mucked the rest of his cards.
