Ilani Sucks Out Against Wong

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The action began when Demetrius Campbell raised to 24,000 from early position. Ran Ilani called from the cutoff before Danny Wong chose to raise all-in from the small blind to 101,000. Campbell folded, and Ilani confirmed the count before he called.

Danny Wong: AKAll in
Ran Ilani: KJ

Wong had Ilani dominated, but that did not deter Ilani's confidence as he said to Wong, "Sorry" before the cards were dealt.

Illani's statement proved to be prophetic as the flop fanned out 2JJ to give Ilani trips and devastate Wong's prospects of survival.

The 9 turn was the end of the road for Wong as the inconsequential 6 hit the river.

Okamoto Takes Out Bogdanov

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Kiyokazu Okamoto raised to 16,000 from the button only for Yulian Bogdanov to three-bet all in from the big blind. Okamoto snap called.

Yulian Bogdanov: AJAll in
Kiyokazu Okamoto: 1010

The board ran out 76829 and made Okamoto a straight, not that it was needed, to send Bogdanov packing.

Double Trouble on the Bubble

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Two players will be splitting a minimum cash as the bubble bursted with two eliminations in the $2,500 Freezeout.

Anthony Ruberto chose to ship his final 106,000 from early position on the bubble and was called by Gary Hasson from the hijack to put Ruberto at risk.

Anthony Ruberto: AKAll in
Gary Hasson: QQ

It was the classic race between big slick and pocket queens, and it was the queens that prevailed this time as Ruberto was unable to find his outs on the 32599 board to eliminate Ruberto.

At another table, an all-in also occurred when Nicola Karl from the small blind Siegfried Kapeller in the big blind battled in an all-in pot with Kapeller at risk.

Siegfried Kapeller: QQAll in
Nicola Karl: 85

Kapeller held a significant lead over Karl, but the flop was disastrous for Kapeller as it fanned out A85.

The 9 did not help Kapeller's chances of staying alive, and the 7 river sealed his fate as Kapeller shared the bubble with Ruberto.

Lehner Shaves Gillette

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Alfred Gillette raised from the hijack to 12,000 before Stefan Lehner chose to play for it all from the small blind and jammed for 123,000. Gillette called for less to be at risk.

Alfred Gillette: AKAll in
Stefan Lehner: 55

It was a fair fight as they headed to the flop, but Lehner gelled with the flop better than Gillette as it fanned out 57Q to give Lehner a set of fives.

The 2 turn ended any hopes of backdoor straight draws as the meaningless 10 peeled off on the river.
