Cukier's Gamble Pays Off

Talesh Patel opened up the action under the gun, with a raise to 16,000. Paul Cukier then shoved from late position, for his remaining 38,000 chips. Adrien Guyon called all-in from the cutoff for just 15,000, and Patel called too.
"I'm gambling here," said Cukier. Guyon replied, saying that he had "the best hand."

As if the 2♥3♠J♠ wasn't enough of a sweat, the 10♦ turn improved Cukier to both a straight and flush draw. The Q♦ river gave Guyon top set, but improved Cukier to a straight.
"I knew I was gonna win this hand," he said while bringing in the chips.
