Barnett's Kings Hold

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Matthew Barnett opened to 85,000 in middle position and got called by Andrew Finlay in cutoff and big blind Thomas Nguyen.

They all saw a flop of 378. Nguyen shoved all-in for around 285,000. Barnett thought for a few seconds before flat-calling. Finlay asked how much Barnett had behind then after a few seconds, he folded, leaving Nguyen and Barnett to go to showdown.

Thomas Nguyen: J1095 All in
Matthew Barnett: KKQ5

Barnett was ahead with kings but Nguyen had some outs with a straight draw. The runout 34 didn't help Nguyen sending him to hit the rails.

Volkov's Queens Hold

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Jarryd Godena opened to 85,000 under the gun and got a raise from Konstantin Volkov to 200,000. John Mcdonald on the button called. With action back to him Godena thought for a few seconds before betting 315,000 leaving behind around 20,000.

Volkov asked, "Are you all-in?" and when Godena answered in the negative, Volkov replied, "Tricky." It took him a few seconds to announce all-in pushing Mcdonald out of the pot. Godena called.

Jarryd Godena: KJJ8 All in
Konstantin Volkov: KQQJ

Godena had pocket jacks but Volkov was ahead with pocket queens. Volkov's queens held on the board of A1085A evoking a cheer from Volkov. Godena left the table quietly as the dealer pushed the pot to the winner.

Bowers Sends Fletcher Packing

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Action folded to Clayton Fletcher, who raised the pot to 85,000 from the cutoff. Jonathan Bowers on the button made the call.

The flop came 5A10 and Fletcher moved all in. Bowers had his chips in the middle before the dealer could even start pulling Fletcher's stack into the middle!

Clayton Fletcher: A543All in
Jonathan Bowers: AA22

Fletcher was in bad shape, and when the Q fell on the river, he was drawing dead. The irrelevant Q peeled off on the river, and Fletcher was sent packing.

Celine Dion's Son Chasing $10 Million Prize in Poker World Championship

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Rene-Charles Angelil
Rene-Charles Angelil

René-Charles Angelil, son of Canadian singer Celine Dion, is singing his own tune deep in the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event.

The 24-year-old offspring of an iconic songstress entered Thursday's Day 5 session in the $10,000 buy-in tournament with over 100 big blinds, with 522 players remaining. He has as strong a chance at winning the $10,000,000 first-place prize as anyone still standing.

Angelil doesn't just come from musical roots. His late father, René Angelil, was an avid poker player with over $750,000 in live tournament cashes, according to The Hendon Mob. Daniel Negreanu told PokerNews that the elder Angelil, who married Dion in 1994, would often stop into Bobby's Room at Bellagio to play high-stakes cash games while his wife performed at nearby Caesars Palace.
