Zachary Gruneberg opened to 30,000 in middle position, and Arieori Miller announced all in on his left. Gruneberg took some time before sticking in the call, and the hands were turned up.

Miller was trailing until the 8♦9♠3♠ flop, finding a pair to take the lead. Both players hit the A♣ turn, while Gruneberg whiffed on the 5♥ river to end his tournament.

At the same time, Xi Chen opted to go all-in from the cutoff for 340,000. It folded to Samuel Ju in the big blind, who called to put himself at risk for 50,000 total.

Ju was way ahead preflop, but the flop changed that in a hurry when it came 4♣J♣7♣ to give Chen top pair and a flush draw.

The K♥ turn was not a welcome sight for Ju, who was now significantly behind in the hand. The 10♣ river upgraded Chen to a flush to knock out Ju.

With Gruneberg and Ju eliminated on the same hand, they chopped the first payout spot to earn $3,375 each.

Ciccarelli Calls Vasylchenko's Bluff to Double Up

The board read K♠7♦10♠K♦ when John Ciccarelli checked from the big blind to Oleg Vasylchenko on the button who sent 100,000 in the middle. After some thinking, Ciccarelli called.

The Q♦ landed on the river and Ciccarelli checked again. Vasylchenko decided to bet 400,000, putting Ciccarelli at risk for his remaining stack of 240,000 .

Ciccarelli tanked for some time and eventually called. Vasylchenko revealed J♠4♥ for a bluff, and Ciccarelli turned over the winning hand with 6♥7♠ for two pair with the sevens.

The dealer fanned a flop of Q♠4♥9♠ and Stepka continued for 80,000. Heinz called, so Stepka fired a second barrel of 100,000 on the K♠ turn. Heinz called off his last 80,000.
