2025 World Series of Poker
Christopher Nguyen opened in middle position to 300,000 and was met with a three-bet by Sam Soverel to 950,000 in the cutoff.
Action folded back to Nguyen, who used one time bank before four-betting to 2,000,000.
Soverel was quick to fold, and Nguyen added to his chip lead.
Martin Zamani raised to 425,000 from the small blind and Sergio Aido defended his big blind.
The A♣10♥8♦ flop checked through to the K♠ turn which saw Zamani lead for 400,000 and Aido called.
The 3♦ river also checked through as Zamani announced Qx3x before Aido showed A♥2♥ for the winner with top pair.
"I had a good bluffing hand," explained Zamani, "But was I really gonna to say 'three million' against Aido?"
The players have taken their seats, and play has resumed.
The tournament has taken a short, unscheduled break while there is an announcement on the main stage.
Play should resume within 5 minutes.

Leonard Maue started the action with a raise to 240,000 from under the gun. Both Manuel Fritz and Sam Soverel made the call, from the cutoff and button, respectively.
All three players checked on the 9♣Q♠7♥ flop. Maue checked again on the 8♣ turn, prompting Fritz to put out a bet of 425,000. Soverel folded, but Maue called.
The dealer then provided the 5♦ river, which Maue checked again. Fritz put out another bet of 900,000, which put Maue into the blender. After taking some time to rethink the action, Maue decided to make the call.
Fritz tabled A♠10♠ for just ace-high, and Maue showed A♣A♥, earning him the pot.
Khoi Le Nguyen opened to 240,000 from early position before Masashi Oya jammed for 1,700,000 from the button, and Nguyen quickly called.
Masashi Oya: 4♥4♦
Khoi Le Nguyen: A♠Q♦
It was a coinflip scenario until the Q♣8♥3♦ flop vaulted Nguyen into the lead. Nothing changed on the 5♣J♣ runout as Nguyen held on the eliminate Oya in 14th.
