Zamani Triples; Zizka Eliminated; Nguyen Takes the Side

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Martin Zamani
Martin Zamani

Martin Zamani limped under the gun, Zdenek Zizka limped the hijack, Christopher Nguyen completed from the small blind, and David Chen checked his option in the big blind.

On the 975 flop, it checked to Zamani who bet 80,000 and Zizka called. Nguyen then check-raised to 280,000 and Chen folded. Zamani then announced all-in for 430,000 and Zizka flatted with 440,000 behind. Nguyen went deep into the tank before he announced all-in as the covering stack. However, since Zamani's all-in was not a full raise, Nguyen could only call.

On the J turn, Nguyen jammed as Zizka called off his 440,000 stack.

Martin Zamani: 77 All in
Zdenek Zizka: A8 All in
Christopher Nguyen: 105

Zamani flopped a set while Zizka had the nut flush draw. Nguyen had a lesser flush draw but he also paired his five.

The J fell on the river to give Zamani a full house to win the main pot, while Nguyen's pair of fives was good enough to win the side pot and eliminate Zizka.

Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth raised to 60,000 from under the gun and in the small blind, Albert Daher three-bet to 145,000. Eric Wasserson folded in the big blind and Hellmuth moved all in for 145,000.

Phil Hellmuth: 55 All in
Albert Daher: KJ

The board ran out KJ8J3 and the jacks full of kings was good for the pot to eliminate Hellmuth from the tournament.

Lee Flops the Nuts

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Chongxian Yang and Chang Lee got it all in blind on blind, with Yang as a slight favorite.

Chongxian Yang: K8 All in
Chang Lee: J10

An eight in the window seemed good for Yang, but the full 897 gave his opponent the stone-cold nuts. Yang was drawing to runner-runner, and got halfway there with the K on the turn. However, the brick 2 river kept Lee with the nuts, as he busted Yang out.

Ustimov Takes Out Miller with Aces

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Vitor Ustimov
Vitor Ustimov

Following an open from Masashi Oya, Viktor Ustimov three-bet from the cutoff. In the small blind, Arieori Miller four-bet jammed for his remaining 575,000. It folded back to Ustimov who snap-called.

Arieori Miller: 99 All in
Viktor Ustimov: AA

Miller jammed at an unfortunate time as he ran into the bullets of Ustimov. The A104 flop made matters worse for Miller as Ustimov flopped top set. Nothing changed on the QJ runout as Miller was sent to the rail, but not without some words of encouragement from Martin Kabrhel who said, "Good luck on rebuy, Ari!"

Wilson Turns Hemyari Away

Level 12 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Following a hijack open from Brandon Wilson, Keyavash Hemyari shoved from the small blind for 483,000. Brandon Wilson made the call.

Keyavash Hemyari: 75 All in
Brandon Wilson: AJ

The 5K10 flop did have Hemyari in the lead, but there were plenty of outs that he'd have to fade to survive in the high roller. The J was one of them, meaning he needed to find two pair or trips on the river to stay in it. The 8 was no help, as he exited the tournament area.
