The flop revealed 7♥6♣7♣ and Tomescu check-called for 1,100,000.

The duo checked on the 3♣ turn and 10♥ river and Tomescu tabled 4♣4♦, which was enough to make Zovoloka muck his cards.

Action folded to Mikhail Zavoloka in the hijack and he opened to 600,000. Jacopo Achille responded with a three-bet to 1,800,000 from the cutoff. After a brief pause, Zavoloka moved all in, putting Achille at risk. Achille double-checked his cards, then made the call.

Achille was trailing preflop and needed to connect with the board to stay alive. The flop came Q♦J♦Q♠, giving him a gutshot and several backdoor outs but no immediate help.

The 6♣ on the turn kept Zavoloka ahead, but the K♣ on the river changed everything, giving Achille top pair and the winning hand. He scored a massive double-up and brought himself to the top of the chip counts.
