Martini is the King of Kings

Level 14 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

William Remshardt raised preflop and was called by Brad Owen and Julien Martini in the small blind.

The flop scrolled the AJ5 and all three players checked.

The turn revealed the J and another round of knuckles saw the 10 revealed.

Once again all players chose to check their option and when Martini showed KK22, it was good enough to award him the pot.

Wilkinson Scoops a Big Pot

Level 14 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

With around 100,000 in the middle, three players saw the flop come down 72Q. Alexander Wilkinson checked from the big blind, Aaron Kupin checked the cutoff, and Viktor Blom checked from the button.

Wilkinson bet on the 8 turn and only Kupin called.

The Q landed on the river and Wilkinson bet again, which Krupin called. Wilkinson showed A842 for two pair and the second nut low to scoop the pot.

Spear Adds to His Stack

Level 14 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Daniel Spear
Daniel Spear

Daniel Spear led out from the small blind on the turn with the board showing 596A. Todd Brunson called from the big blind and Steve Zolotow called from the cutoff.

The 7 rolled off on the river and Spear bet again, which was called by both of his opponents.

Spear showed J432 for a straight and the nut low. Brunson mucked, and Zolotow revealed AQ43 for the same straight, but a worse low, which meant Spear got three-quarters of the pot and Zolotow a quarter.

Allen Finds a Double

Level 14 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Richie Allen raised and Eric Wasserson put in a third bet. Allen made the call. Allen had less than a full bet behind.

The wheel spun AJ8 and Allen put him remaining chips in the middle, Wasserson made the call.

Richie Allen: A578 All in
Eric Wasserson: AKQ3

The 9 and 4 completed the board and Allen's two pair was good to award him the double through one of the chip leaders.

Spear Sends Zolotow Straight Home

Level 14 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Steve Zolotow had become short-stacked and got the last of his chips into the middle on a flop of 493. Daniel Spear was the player trying to send him home.

Steve Zolotow: AKK10 All in
Daniel Spear: A873

Zolotow was ahead, but Spear had some outs he could hit to scoop or chop the pot. The rest of the board ran out J10 to give Spear the winner with a rivered jack-high straight, ending Zolotow's tournament.

Bakes Takes One Down; Hunichen Folds the Winner

Level 14 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

David "Bakes" Baker raised on the button and was called by Benjamin Gold in the big blind.

Baker took the pot down with a bet when the 36Q fanned out.

Chris Hunichen, seated at the same table, was heard lamenting that he had accidentally folded a flush against Hunter McClelland because he thought he had a full house. He had declared his flush verbally but didn't table his hand, consequently forfeiting a pot that should have been pushed his way.

A frustrated Hunichen made mention that it was only his third time playing this particular variant. He was seen leaving the tournament area shortly after.

Viktor Blom: QQ1010 All in
Jeremy Ausmus: A943

Blom had flopped a boat against the trips of Ausmus. The rest of the board came 107 and Blom stayed alive in the tournament.
