Xu Scoops a Nice One from Lakerveld

With the pot at already over 500,000, the board read J♠A♦2♥8♣, and Jie Xu bet out for 250,000 from the button. Daniel Lakerveld, who was under the gun, made the call.

The river brought the 2♠, and now Xu cranked up the pressure and moved all in for approximately 800,000. Lakerveld went into the tank before he released his hand, sending the pot to Xu with no showdown.

The players saw a 6♦10♠A♥ flop, Ho checked, Rone went all in for 380,000, and Ho quickly called and was ahead.

Matthieu Mary studied the hand for so long that the clocked was eventually requested. After the tournament director gave him 30 seconds to act, Mary finally tossed in a chip to go all in. Duveau folded.

Clearly Mary needed some help from the start and even more after the flop came 9♦3♠4♦. giving Gray the top set with his pocket nines.

The help Mary needed came runner-runner with the 2♦A♦ putting four cards to a straight on the board to give Mary the win with diamonds and a stay-alive double-up.

Action folded around to Brian Ng on the button, who raised to 115,000, only for Matthew Raffoul to three-bet all in from the small blind, and he had Ng covered. Ng went into the tank for a short time and made the call.

Just the flop Ng wanted to see when the Q♥Q♦9♠ reeled off but then things started to get ugly when the 2♥ came on the turn and when the 6♥ peeled off on the river it completed the sick runout for Raffoul making him a flush to send Ng to the rail.
