Negreanu Last To Leave

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

After a three-man limp to the flop of 6A10 Daniel Negreanu bet 15,000 chips on the button. Andreas Zampas check-raised to 85,000 from the big blind.

Khaled Mahmoud called as did Daniel Negreanu.

The turn came 2. Zampas bet 280,000. Mahmoud thought about it for a while before folding.

Negreanu grabbed his camera and began recording for his sites. He said he knew he was drawing almost dead, but there were too many chips in the pot to fold, so he called all in.

Daniel Negreanu: K10102All in
Andreas Zampas: AAQ7

As he figured, Negreanu was not holding the top set. It only got worse for him on the river, as the A gave Zampas a four-of-a-kind winner, sending Negreanu to the rail as the final elimination of the day.

Laura Born
Laura Born

Tolga Demirel went all in on the turn with his last 10,000 from the big blind into a pot of roughly 120,000.

Jose Nadal called from the button with the board reading 531010.

Tolga Demirel: AK96All in
Jose Nadal: K1032

Demirel flopped an ace-high flush. Nadal made a full house when the board paired on the turn. The 8 river didn’t matter.

With 90,000 chips in the pot, action was picked up as Laura Born was all in against Paul Gunness on a flop of J38.

Laura Born: AAQ3 All in
Paul Gunness: 101029

Gunness turned a set on the 10, and the 4 burst the money bubble which ended Born's tournament.

Elder Takes Out Khan

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Brett Elder bet 20,000 from the button on a flop of 723. Shariq Khan raised with a pot-sized bet from the big blind.

Elder moved all in and Khan called, putting himself at risk with his last 63,500 chips.

Shariq Khan: AJ72All in
Brett Elder: AQJ9

The turn of the 8 made elder's flush and the K on the river didn't improve Khan's two pair, so he busted out.

Salemnia Blinded Out

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Apparently, Shawn Salemnia is not a believer in the poker proverb that all it takes is "a chip and a chair." Or six chips and a chair for that matter.

Salemnia, who resides in Beverly Hills, Calif., had 5,500 chips left at the dinner break — the third-fewest in the field — but didn't return to play them out.

He was blinded out with second and final bullet of the day in two orbits.

Texas Mike Misfires

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Michael Moncek
Michael Moncek

Michael Moncek, aka Texas Mike, was in and out of the event in short order, having suffered three knockouts in one level.

The last came with him in the big blind raising to 4,200, the maximum. Stian Usterud reraised the pot and Moncek called all in.

Michael Moncek: KK96All in
Stian Usterud: KKQ3

The similar hands looked far different as soon as the flop hit 10JA, giving Usterud an ace-high straight and a straight flush draw. Moncek backed away from the table and began packing up as the 84 came on the turn and river to finish the runout.
