Yu Sends Troha Home

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Sean Troha
Sean Troha

Sean Troha opened up the action to 35,000 on the button. Big blind Jianqiang Yu reraised it to 110,000, and Troha called, leaving himself just 23,000 behind. Yu then put Troha all in on a flop of 393 and Troha waited, made the pay jump, then called.

Sean Troha: AKJ6 All in
Jianqiang Yu: KK102

Troha needed an ace or running clubs to stay alive. The Q turn removed any possibility of a flush, but he now had outs to a gutshot. The 6 river bricked, and Yu carried on adding to his already huge stack.

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

James Cavanaugh led out for 75,000 from the big blind after the K6A flop. Jianqiang Yu announced a raise in the cutoff, betting enough to put his opponent all in.

"I have top set and a straight draw, I guess I'm putting it in," said Cavanaugh as he made the call.

Jianqiang Yu: KK82

Cavanaugh was in front after both players flopped a set, but the 3 turn gave Yu a flush. Cavanaugh could not improve on the J river, ending his tournament run as Yu added to his growing stack.

Vadim Zakharyan: KK102 All in
Ari Oxman: AJ93

The board ran out 5276, and at this point, Oxman asked the dealer for a four to give him a wheel, but he binked the A on the river for a bigger pair instead.

Boeken Falls to Mao

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Noah Boeken got it all in, dominated, and at risk against the covering stack of Renji Mao preflop as the two headed off to a runout.

Noah Boeken: KQ98 All in
Renji Mao: KK33

The 8A5 gave Boeken a little hope, but it was short-lived as the 6 turn completed Mao's flush and had him drawing dead, meaning he hit inconsequential trips on the 8 river.

Nacho Barbero
Nacho Barbero

There was roughly 145,000 in the pot on a board of 2A86. Nacho Barbero, in the cutoff, bet 143,000 when checked to, and Shlomi Elimeleh called under the gun.

Barbero moved all in on the 3 river, prompting Elimeleh to go deep into the tank. He asked the dealer for a count of the pot, and after receiving confirmation, he pushed his remaining 45,000 chips into the middle.

Barbero tabled the ace-high flush with AKQ9, Elimeleh tabled A854 for an inadequate straight.

Zeng Cracks Aces to Double

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Yian Zeng opened up the action with a raise under the gun before Vitalijs Zavorotnijs, on his left, three-bet to 45,000. Zeng stuck in the call, leading the two to a flop. The dealer put out J82, prompting Zeng to take the lead and pot it for 105,000. Zavorotnijs raised to put Zeng all in for not much more, and Zeng made the call.

Yian Zeng: 101099 All in
Vitalijs Zavorotnijs: AA107

Zavorotnijs was in the lead with pocket aces, but Zeng could still improve to a set, straight or flush. The 4 turn changed nothing, then the 7 river completed the straight for Zeng who came out on top with the nuts. Zavorotnijs busted out shortly after.
