Filippi Doubles Through Johnson

Level 18
Amnon Filippi
Amnon Filippi

2-7 Triple Draw

"Alright, who wants it?" Amnon Filippi said before raising from under the gun.

The answer was Marco Johnson, who three-bet on the button. Action folded back to Filippi, who went all in for 47,000 total. Johnson called to put Filippi at risk and it was down to the draws to decide Filippi's fate.

Filippi drew two, two, then one while Johnson drew two, one, then one.

Amnon Filippi: 8x5x4x2xAll in
Marco Johnson: 8x7x6x3x

Johnson flipped over a Kx first and Filippi peeled a 6x — leaving him best with an eight for the double up.

Miner Goes Into Depths of Tank

Level 18
Benjamin Miner
Benjamin Miner

Omaha Hi-Lo

Benjamin Miner raised in the hijack, and Eddie Blumenthal three-bet on the button. Miner called to the 973 flop, where he check-called a bet by Blumenthal.

Blumenthal continued betting on the Q turn, and Miner check-called again. Miner checked for a third time on the Q river. Blumenthal bet for a final time, and Miner spent about five minutes in thought as he was put all-in.

Eventually, the clock was called on him. Near the end of his countdown, he called off.

"Good call," Blumenthal stated. Miner rolled over AK72 for queens and sevens, and he was awarded the pot to double up.

Omaha Hi-Lo

The 6 fell on the turn and Negreanu committed the rest of his chips into the middle. Miller called and hands were revealed.

Daniel Negreanu: A965All in
Ryan Miller: A874

Miller held a straight against Negreanu's two pair, and the Q river changed nothing — ending Negreanu's run late in the evening.
