Daniel Zack limped in from the small blind, and Richard Gryko potted to 900,000 from the big. Zack made the call, then checked on the 3♠3♣6♥ flop. Gryko bet out for 700,000, but Zack started carving out raising chips. He threw out 1,200,000, which the dealer added 200,000 to for it to become a legal raise. Gryko folded quickly.
Fahredin Mustafov opened up the action with a button raise to 625,000, and Richard Gryko defended his big blind. Both players checked on a flop of 7♦9♥J♣ which brought in the 7♠ on the turn. Here, Gryko led out for 700,000, and Mustafov put in the call.
Gryko then checked the Q♥ river, prompting Mustafov to slide 1,800,000 in the middle. Gryko put him all in for just over 5,000,000, and Mustafov couldn't have called quicker, as he showed K♦J♥9♠7♥ for a full house. However, Gryko had rivered the best of it with Q♠Q♣10♦9♣ to rake in a huge pot, and bring the table down to just four.
Fahredin Mustafov opened to 650,000 under the gun, and only Zachary Schwartz made the call, as he defended his big blind. He then checked the K♠6♥6♦ flop, allowing Mustafov to bet out for 325,000. He wouldn't see a turn for that price, however, as Schwartz made a check-raise to 900,000, which Mustafov called.
Schwartz continued for 1,300,000 on the 10♦ turn, and yet again Mustafov made the call. Schwartz then shoved the 8♣ river, forcing Mustafov out of the pot.
Fahredin Mustafov made it 650,000 from the small blind, and Daniel Zack defended his big blind.
Mustafov bet 400,000 on the K♣Q♦Q♥ flop, which Zack called.
The J♦ fell on the turn, and Mustafov knuckled the action to Zack. Zack fired 600,000, and Mustafov stuck around with a call.
The 4♣ appeared on the river, causing Mustafov to check. Zack bet 1,500,000, and it was Mustafov's turn to go into the tank. After around ninety seconds, Mustafov flicked his cards into the muck and forfeited the pot to Zack.
Joshua Ladines opened the action from the cutoff, as he potted it to 875,000. Fahredin Mustafov then repotted from the small blind to 2,875,000, and Ladines, after some consideration, elected to just call. He left 1,025,000 behind. On the 9♥K♣6♣ flop Mustafov shoved and Ladines snapped.
Ladines needed to hit his gutshot or a club to survive, and the A♠ turn offered him no help, but the 4♣ river gave him the nuts, as yet another short-stack doubled up. "Chip dumping," joked Mustafov pointing around the table, in reference to the lack of knockouts in the past hour.
Daniel Zack raised to 650,000 from the hijack and Fahredin Mustafov potted it to 2,075,000 from the big blind. Zack made the call to see a flop.
Mustafov jammed for 3,550,000 upon seeing the 6♠Q♠10♦ flop, and after pondering for a while, Zack made the call with the covering stack.
Fahredin Mustafov: K♠K♣J♠4♠
Daniel Zack: 8♦7♠6♦5♥
Mustafov needed to win this hand to stay in contention for his first WSOP bracelet. The 5♠ turn gave Zack two pair, but Mustafov a flush. Zack couldn't fill up on the 4♦ river, and almost half of his stack was sent to Mustafov.
The 9♣A♥4♣ gave both players backdoor draws, with the 4♣ turn only bringing in Ladines', as he freerolled his opponent. However, the Q♠ river brought no blood, and the two chopped the pot.
The very next hand, Richard Gryko opened to 650,000, and Ladines three-bet potted yet again, this time for slightly less, as the value was 2,200,000. Gryko made the call, then snap-called a shove on the 9♠6♠Q♥ flop.
Joshua Ladines: A♣K♥J♠10♣
Richard Gryko: K♣J♣10♠7♥
Both players had the same wrap, and Ladines was in the lead with ace-high but Gryko's seven meant that an eight would award him the full pot. The 10♥ turn gave both players the nut straight, and the freeroll began. The Q♠ river meant that for a second time, Ladines would chop for his tournament life.
