Brian Rast raised from under the gun and was called by Kristopher Tong in the hijack. In the small blind, Philip Sternheimer made it three bets and both opponents called.

On the Q53 flop, Sternheimer led with a bet and both Rast and Tong put in the call.

The 9 turn checked through to the 4 river which saw Sternheimer lead again. Rast quickly folded before Tong announced a raise and Sternheimer immediately called. Tong revealed 86 for a rivered flush which was good as Sternheimer mucked.

Engel check-called a bet on the 443 flop.

On the 10 turn, Engel checked to Miller who bet before Engel check-raised and Miller called.

Engel then led on the K river, Miller raised, and Engel immediately called. He got the bad news as Miller tabled AKK2 for a rivered top full house as he scooped a sizeable pot off Engel.

Kalas completed and was called by Mozdzen and by Hoenig from the briing-in.

Kalas led on fourth and was called by both opponents. On fifth, Kalas checked to Mozdzen who bet. Hoenig raised and both Kalas and Mozdzen called.

On sixth, Hoenig bet all-in for 2,000 and both called. On seventh, Kalas took some time before he bet into the dry side and Mozdzen called. Kalas revealed A53 for just a pair of aces which were good as Mozdzen instantly mucked. Hoenig tabled 544 in the hole for seven-five low which was good for half, as Kalas become the largest stack in the room.

Seiver Can't Beat Gan

Jiyang Gan raised from under the gun and it was folded to Scott Sever, who said "This is so stupid but I'm raising," as he put in a three-bet from the hijack.

"I doubled him up four times yesterday," Seiver said of Gan from another tournament.

Action folded back to Gan, who called.

Gan check-called a bet from Seiver on the 2710 flop and then both players checked on the Q turn.

The 5 completed the board and Gan led out for a bet. Seiver looked him up and Gan tabled QJ for a turned pair of queens.

Seiver let out a deep, therapeutic breath before sending his cards into the muck and Gan collected the pot.

At another table, Gus Hansen was eliminated.
