In poker, like in life, they say records are meant to be broken.
But sometimes, someone sets a milestone that just feels impossible to top. Whether it’s because of insane skill, perfect timing, a bit of luck, or a mix of all three, the World Series of Poker has seen some feats over the years that seem like they’ll never be matched.
However, while all records may eventually fall, these achievements are currently some of the most jaw-dropping in WSOP history. Will any of them ever be broken? Only time will tell. For now, though, here are the most incredible WSOP records that will (probably) never be broken.
The final 30 players are going on a 60-minute dinner break with play set to resume at 8:56 p.m.

Brian Breck: XxXx/7xKx - folded on fourth street
Clayton Mozdzen: 9x6x4x/2x8xQx2x
Robert Wells: XxXx/5x3xKx10x/Xx
Brian Breck completed, Clayton Mozdzen called, and Robert Wells two-bet. Breck and Mozdzen both called to fifth street, where Wells caught best and bet.
Breck shrugged before he folded his cards, but Mozdzen stuck around and called. Fifth and sixth street checked through to seventh street, where Wells tossed in a bet.
Mozdzen quickly called, and he tabled a nine-low after Wells was hesitant to show. Wells added his cards to the muck, seeing the pot shipped to Mozdzen.
Ryan Miller was also at this table, and he had chipped up to a seven-figure stack as well.

Omaha Hi-Lo
Nick Guagenti limped from early position and Jason Mercier raised. Jesse Klein called from the small blind, Toby Lewis called from the big blind, and Guagenti called as well for a four-way pot.
The flop came 7♣K♣9♥ and it was checked to Guagenti, who bet. Mercier and Lewis folded, but Klein called.
Klein check-called another bet from Guagenti on the 10♥ turn and then led out for a bet after the 2♦ completed the board.
Guagenti called and Klein tabled A♦9♠8♦6♠ for a ten-high straight. Guagenti couldn't beat it and Klein was awarded the sizable pot.

Omaha Hi-Lo
Yuri Dzivielevski raised from the hijack and was three-bet by Brian Yoon in the cutoff. Brian Breck called cold from the small blind and Dzivielevski made it four bets to go. Yoon called, Breck capped it at five bets, and both Dzivielevski and Yoon called.
Breck checked on the 10♣9♦A♣ flop and Dzivielevski bet. Both Yoon and Breck called.
The 9♥ fell on the turn and Breck again checked. Dzivielevski bet and again both players called.
Breck checked a final time on the A♦ river. Dzivielevski bet, Yoon raised, Breck folded, Dzivielevski four-bet, and Yoon called.
Dzivielevski tabled A♠10♦5♣2♣ for aces-full of tens and Yoon showed A♥J♠10♥3♥ for the same full house for a chopped pot.

Phil Ivey: 5x4x/2x3x6x6x/3x
Phil Ivey completed, Alexander Kostritsyn two-bet, and Ivey called. Ivey bet on fourth and fifth street, at which point Kostritsyn called all-in for his tournament life.
Ivey already had a six-low, and Kostritsyn was unable to improve on sixth or seventh street, spelling the end of his tournament run.

Jason Mercier raised from the button, Bryce Yockey three-bet from the small blind, and Mercier called.
On the A♣8♣4♠ flop, Yockey led, Mercier raised, and Yockey called.
Yockey then check-called a bet on the 3♦ turn before the 8♦ river checked through.
Bryce Yockey: K♣7♣
Jason Mercier: A♥3♣
Yockey had a missed flush draw as Mercier got some extra value with his flop raise as he made top pair.
