Arieh Doubles with Aces

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Heads-up on a board of 594K10 with 92,000 in the pot, Josh Arieh on the button jammed for 63,000. Joshua Gebissa in the big blind went deep into the tank and called.

Josh Arieh: AA All in
Joshua Gebissa: 65

Gebissa called with a pair of fives, but Arieh had aces and doubled up.

Roelke Rakes It In

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Brian Roelke was all in for his last 164,000 from the small blind and covered by Philip Lucia on the button. The cards had just been flipped, and with just a handful of people to bust before the money bubble, Roelke was sweating his fate.

Brian Roelke: AKAll in
Philip Lucia: 1010

Roelke didn't have to wait long as the 7K7 flop saw him take the lead. The Q turn and K river locked him up the double and put him in a more comfortable position to battle near the bubble.

Shaw Doubles Near the End of the Night

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Ziv Bachar raised to 12,000 from middle position and David Shaw jammed for 64,000 from the small blind. Bachar took a moment before making the call, looking to move the field one step closer to the money.

David Shaw: AJ All in
Ziv Bachar: Q9

Shaw was ahead and found a favorable flop in the form of 723, picking up a flush draw to eliminate even more of Bachar's outs.

The 10 turn and 4 river changed nothing, and Shaw's ace-high remained best to secure the much-needed double-up.

Nguyen Cracks Eyzaguirre's Kings

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Ricardo Eyzaguirre opened on the button to 12,000 before Vy Nguyen made it 50,000 from the small blind. Eyzaguirre responded with an all-in for 187,000. Nguyen went into the tank for a considerable amount of time as he agonized over the decision. Nguyen counted out how much it would cost and took an inventory of how many chips he would have should he lose.

Eventually, Nguyen made the call to put Eyzaguirre at risk.

Ricardo Eyzaguirre: KKAll in
Vy Nguyen: AQ

Eyzaguirre was well ahead, but he needed to fade the dreaded ace with five cards to go.

The flop was safe when it fanned out 998 to keep Eyzaguirre in the lead.

That changed in a hurry when the A peeled on the turn to vault Nguyen into the lead, leaving Eyzaguirre with just two outs with one card to come.

The 2 river was the final card Eyzaguirre would see in the tournament as he was eliminated from contention.

Mateo Sends Wilson and Kamran To The Rail

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Simon Wilson
Simon Wilson

Francisco Mateo raised to 13,000 and Michael Kamran called in the next seat. It then folded to Simon Wilson in the big blind and he squeezed to 132,000 while keeping a single chip behind. Mateo went into the tank before he announced all in. Kamran sighed for a second, then called to roll over his cards, as did Mateo, while Wilson got to see both player's cards already.

"I don't know man, I am getting a good price," Wilson smirked, and then called all in as well.

Simon Wilson: QQ All in
Michael Kamran: AK All in
Francisco Mateo: KK

"Ace, one time," Kamran exclaimed, but the J10329 board brought no help to either of the shorter stacks. Mateo's stack was counted at 411,000, which covered Kamran's 340,000 or so.

Kamran chatted with Aliaksei Boika before leaving and mentioned, "I don't care about the money, I want to have chips," before heading out of the tournament area.

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Anthony Lombard raised to 12,000 in middle position to see David Arnold jam in late position for 59,000. Action folded to Zachary Baron, who raised to 107,000 in the cutoff, and everyone else folded.

Zachary Baron: AK

The board ran out Q64J6, and the tens up was good for Arnold to survive his all-in confrontation.

Gutyi Sees it Coming

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Curtis Nare and Mykhailo Gutyi got it all in preflop, with the former covering the latter's 97,000.

Mykhailo Gutyi: KK All in
Curtis Nare: AJ

As if he knew what was about to happen, Gutyi was up and out of his seat before the A710 flop was dealt, all but crushing his dreams of a Main Event cash.

The 3 turn gave him life, and he called for a diamond, but the 3 sealed his elimination from the tournament.

Before leaving, Gutyi asked Nare about a hand that the two had played earlier, with Nare letting Gutyi know that he "had it."

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Seeing a raise from Kyle Cartwright under the gun ahead of him, Merle Sauvola moved all in for 70,000 from the small blind. After the big blind let go of his hand, Cartwright made the call.

Merle Sauvola: AQ All in
Kyle Cartwright: AJ

Sauvola was up and out of his seat, looking to hold on so close to the bubble.

There was little to sweat across the 32374 runout, and Sauvola had his double.

Hotaling Finds Inopportune Time to Commit Final Chips

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Peter Hotaling raised all in for 42,000 under the gun. Joshua Steinberg called in middle position before the rest of the table got out of the way.

Peter Hotaling: 99 All in
Joshua Steinberg: AA

Hotaling had run into the preflop nuts. No nine was found on the K6336 board, sending Hotaling to the rail empty-handed.
