"I'm a Gangster!" Givens Bets Huge on the River

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Will Givens bet 75,000 from the hijack on a flop of 10102 and Sam Snead called in the big blind, as did Truong Nguyen in middle position.

"Wasn't expecting you," Givens said to Nguyen heading to the J turn, where he bet another 300,000. Snead folded this time, but Nguyen stuck around and called to see the 6 river.

Givens then splashed in 1,000,000, and Nguyen quickly folded. Givens turned over AK as he took the pot.

"That river doesn't come, I call you," Nguyen told him.

"What did you have? You won't even tell me what you had," Givens replied.

"It's common sense what I had. Why didn't you raise me preflop?" Nguyen added.

"Because I'm a gangster. Everyone loves me because I bring good energy," Givens said.
