Zhao Liu and Bahar Musa built a pot of around 800,000 as they went to a flop of Q35. Musa then bet 175,000 from early position, and Liu raised to 510,000 under the gun. Musa tanked for a few minutes before folding.

"He's my student," Wesley Fei said about Liu.

"I know who the teacher is," Ali Ayub added.

"He's the only one who can beat me," Liu replied.

At another table, Espen Sandvik had opened to 160,000 under the gun and Archimedes Arenas three-bet to 360,000 in middle position. Sandvik then moved all in, and Arenas snap-called for 2,370,000.

Larkman continued for 275,000 on the flop of 6105 and Manjares called. Both players then checked on the 7 turn.

Larkman bet 275,000 on the K river and Manjares quickly called. Larkman tabled 88, which was no good against the AK of Manjares as Larkman smacked the table in frustration.

Tal Herzog opened to 125,000 first to act and was caleld by Mads Wissing in middle position and Greg Mueller on the button.

Herzog continued for 140,000 on the 596 flop, which got a fold from Wissing and a call from Mueller.

The 7 fell on the turn and Herzog check-called a 250,000 bet from Mueller.

Both players checked on the 9 river and Herzog turned over AK. Mueller re-checked his cards before sending them into the muck to award Herzog the pot.

Sharma flopped a pair on 510J but checked back and let Vaziri bet 300,000 on the 6 turn. Sharma called to find the A river.

Vaziri, now with top pair, bet 400,000 and Sharma folded.

Picking up the action on the flop of 468, Xingyu Liu led out for 125,000 from the small blind and Jacob Thibodeau raised to 390,000 from early position.

Liu came over the top by three-betting to 2,400,000 and Thibodeau folded to avoid being put at risk.

Kyle Mart raised to 120,000 from under the gun and Florian Bordet called a few seats over. Nicola Karl then squeeze-jammed for 1,340,000 from the button, and Mart moved all in over the top for around 3,000,000. Bordet, who had a similar stack to Mart, went deep into the tank before folding, flashing JxJx as he did.

Karl was crushed by Mart's big slick, and with neither player improving on the 88295 runout, Mart's ace-high won the pot, and Karl was eliminated from the Main Event.

Mart's stack received a huge boost, while Bordet had to walk away from the table knowing his pocket jacks would have held up.
