Action folded to Chris Hunichen on the button, who opened, and both blinds came along.

The flop came J♥10♥6♣, and after both blinds checked, Hunichen continued for 4,500. Only Michael Meents in the small blind made the call to see the 4♣ turn.

Meents checked again, and Hunichen fired another barrel for 9,500. Meents called once more.

The 7♥ completed the board, and this time Meents led out for 10,000. Hunichen took some time to think it over before sending his cards into the muck, awarding the pot to Meents.

Micah Trexler raised to 4,000 from middle position and Alejandro Casillas defended his big blind with a call. The flop came 9♥Q♦4♦, and Trexler fired out a bet of 3,000 which Casillas called. Trexler did not slow down on the 6♣ turn and he bet 11,000. Action was on Casillas and he thought about hid decision for a few moments the folded.

Kevin Theodore raised to 4,000 from early position, and Felipe Manzure went all in from middle position for 20,000. Action folded back to Theodore and he called.

The board ran out 10♠7♣6♥9♠Q♣, and even though Theodore was dominated he managed to hit the nut straight on the river to eliminated Manzure.

With around 11,000 in the pot, the flop came 10♦2♦A♣. Alexander Dombroff checked from the big blind and called a bet of 3,000 from Eduards Rakuss on the button.

The Q♥ turn saw Dombroff check again, and he called another bet, this time for 8,000.

Both players checked the 6♦ river. Dombroff showed A♥7♦ for top pair, but Rakuss turned over Q♣10♣ for two pair, queens and tens, to scoop the pot.

Phil Hellmuth has one last shot this summer to extend his World Series of Poker bracelet record to 18.

The "Poker Brat," however, will need to spin up a short stack on the final day of the series to pull it off. Hellmuth will return to action at 1 p.m. PT for Day 2 of Event #99: $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold'em, along with 71 others.

Hellmuth isn't the only big name still standing, hoping to win the bracelet and the $695,256 first-place prize. Adam Hendrix, Cliff Josephy, Joseph Cheong, and Brian Rast are among a number of notables coming back for the finale.
