Balas Leaves Shlez Vulnerable

Level 25

Big O

Brandon Cantu opened the action from the hijack with a raise to 65,000. Dekel Balas flatted in the cutoff, before Vadim Shlez made a pot-sized raise to 285,000 from the small blind. Only Balas made the call. Shlez potted the JQ4 flop and Balas called all in.

Dekel Balas: AJ1084 All in
Vadim Shlez: AQ842

Balas needed to get lucky, and get lucky he did as the J turn boated him up, leaving Shlez with just two outs. He couldn't find one on the 7 river, as he doubled his opponent and was left extremely short. Shlez busted a few hands later.
