Bradley Jansen raised to 800 under the gun before Darren Elias three-bet to 3,000 in the cutoff. Ryan Hoenig called in the small blind, while Jansen got out of the way.
Hoenig took one, while Elias stood pat. Hoenig then led out for 13,500, and Elias took a minute before folding.
Christopher Vitch made it 800 to go in the cutoff. Toby Boas called on the button, and Frank Kassela followed suit in the big blind.
The trio drew one card each, after which they checked it to showdown. Boas announced a ten-low and tabled 10x9x8x4x3x to rake in the chips. During the hand, Naoya Kihara took his seat at the table.
Darren Elias raised to 1,000 under the gun and was called by Patrick Stacey in middle position and Brian Tate in the cutoff.
All three players drew one. Stacey then bet 4,000, and only Tate called.
Stacey showed 7x6x5x4x2x, and Tate mucked.
Darren Elias made it 1,000 to go in the hijack. Brian Tate called on the button, and Carlo van Ravenswoud followed suit in the small blind.
Elias stood pat on the draw, while each of his opponents took one card. It then checked to Tate after the draw, who fired a bet of 3,000.
Van Ravenswoud and Elias both mucked their hand, and the pot was shipped to Tate uncontested.
Frank Kassela raised to 800 under the gun and Robert Massman three-bet to 3,000 in the cutoff. Kassela called, and they both stood pat.
Massman then bet 4,000, and Kassela called. "I have a nine," Kassela said, showing 9x7x5x3x2x.
"That's a good one," Massman replied, flashing a 9-8 before mucking.
Brian Tate raised to 900 under the gun and Oscar Johansson called in the big blind.
Johansson drew two, while Tate stood pat. Johansson then led out for 2,000, and Tate called.
Johansson showed 9x7x5x4x2x, and Tate mucked.
Xavier Kyablue raised to 800 under the gun. Oscar Johansson flat-called on the button and stood pat after Kyablue had drawn one card.
Kyablue thought for a while before he led out for 2,000, getting his opponent to make a quick laydown.
In the meantime, Darren Elias and Frank Kassela had registered for the tournament.
A small field of nine players has assembled for the start of the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw Championship, and the cards have been sent into the air for the first level of the day.
