Shankar Frustrates Knoll

Level 33 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Ryan Knoll opened with a raise to 800,000 from the cutoff, with his only customer being Ravi Shankar, who defended is big blind. Shankar then check-called a bet of 450,000 on the 362 flop, bringing in the 8 turn.

Here, Shankar checked again, and Knoll sized up with a bet of 1,250,000. Yet again, Shankar called, and the dealer put out the 3 river. Here, Shankar opted to lead out for 2,000,000, and was met with a very quick call from Knoll. "Just an eight," Shankar announced as he tabled A8. Knoll frustratedly picked up his 108 and gave them back to the dealer.
