He is followed closely by fellow American Russell Giordano who is sitting just shy of two million chips (1,905,000). Paawan Bansal (1,835,000), who had a number of deep runs throughout 2025, is also in a strong position to climb the payouts going into the final day. All 230 returning players have locked up at least $1,787, but every one of them will be eyeing the top prize of $259,829 and hoping to take home a WSOP bracelet.

Others who secured a place in Day 2 include 25K Fantasy Draft pick and two‑time WSOP bracelet winner Marco Johnson who sits just inside the top ten chip counts, having successfully bagged 1,535,000 last night. There are plently of big names still in the mix as a number of other fellow bracelet winners are set to return to the event today including Kenneth Kim (450,000), Jim Collopy (325,000) and Renji Mao (210,000).

Some were less fortunate and didn’t get to return, including Sean Jazayeri, Andrew Porter and Maksim Tatarintsev, all of whom registered but didn’t survive the full 22 levels of Day 1.

Players will return to the felt today at 11 a.m. local time, resuming play at Level 23, with blinds at 15,000/30,000 and a 30,000 big blind ante. Levels will last 30 minutes throughout Day 2, with a 60‑minute break scheduled after Level 34 (approximately 5.30 p.m.). Action will continue until a winner is crowned later tonight.
