Dishongh Holds On, Gomez Gains from Cohen
After coming through with one of the shortest stacks in day 2, Gary Dishongh had tumbled down to his last 30,000.
Action was followed from when players had just turned over their hands and Dishongh found himself at risk on the pay jump after being forced all in from the big blind. Fellow table mate Jorge Gomez was also at risk from an early position and for around 800,000. Adam Cohen who entered the tournament as the chip leader was in middle position and covered both players.
Gary Dishongh: A♥3♥
Jorge Gomez: K♦K♥
Adam Cohen: Q♣Q♠
Dishongh was looking to improve and the 8♥5♦10♥ flop gave him some hope of remaining in the tournament after picking up a heart flush draw.
The 5♥ turn brought in the flush for Dishongh and Gomez also locked up the big side pot with his kings after the A♦ river was placed.
