Wien Uses One Time
Level 16
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jeremy Wien got his final 79,000 in the middle from middle position against George Tomescu in the cutoff and was at risk.
Jeremy Wien: A♦6♥
George Tomescu: 9♥9♠
Wien announced that he was using his one time before the dealer put out the flop.
Wien did not connect with the flop, but it did bring him more outs as it came 8♦10♥7♥ to give him a straight draw.
The one time worked when the 9♣ turn peeled to upgrade Wien to a straight. He wasn't out of the weeds yet, as Tomescu hit a set and could still improve on the river.
The 2♥ was a blank as Wien doubled up.
