Okamoto Comes Knocking on her Neighbors
Shiina Okamoto opened to 25,000 from under the gun and action folded around the table to Craig Mason in the big blind. Mason topped up to call, and the players saw the J♣A♦Q♣ flop.
Mason checked, Okamoto bet 15,000 and Mason called. A K♣ turn prompted another check from Mason and Okamoto bet 30,000.
Mason mucked his hand and Okamoto pulled in the small pot.
In the next hand, Okamoto defended her big blind after facing a 25,000 open from Loic Debregeas who was sitting under the gun.
The 6♥5♠10♣ flop was check-raised by Okamoto to 102,000 after Debregeas bet 37,000. Debregeas paused, and looked over to Okamoto who didn't waiver and just stared at the board. He eventually mucked his hand, leaving Okamoto to add even more to her towering stack.
