Li Eliminates Okamoto
After taking a tumble from being one of the chip leading stack in the last level, to having just over ten big blinds, Shiina Okamoto opened to 270,000 from the hijack, leaving a single 5,000 chip behind.
Action folded around to Aobo Li who took some time to make a decision and kept looking at the clock as they were on a pay jump. With no all in action in sight, Li re-jammed for the exact same stack size, 275,000. When the dealer asked Okamoto "Did you call?", she responded "Not yet", and she waited for any other signs of all in action across the floor. Nothing was heard and Okamoto called off her last 5,000 and the players flipped their hands.
Shiina Okamoto: 4♣4♠
Aobo Li: Q♥Q♠
Li had Okamoto dominated and there was no sign of help for her on the J♥A♥8♠ flop, 5♦ turn or 3♦ river. Li got a full double up from the hand and Okamoto was left to leave the tournament in 36th place having narrowly missed the pay jump.
