Yu Catches Gin to Bust Le

Level 12

Badugi

Ben Yu bet from the big blind after the second draw and Nam Le called all in.

Le drew two, and Yu took one. Le was showing 32, while Yu turned over 53A as he turned over his last card. He peeled the 4 to make a Badugi, and Le flipped over a 3 first and didn't even bother looking at the second before sending his cards into the muck and heading for the exit.

Lonis Scoops Perlman to the Rail

Level 12

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Jesse Lonis raised on the button, Seth Perlman reraised all in from the small blind, and Lonis called.

Seth Perlman: AQ93 All in
Jesse Lonis: A985

The 986 flop gave Lonis top two pair, and the 3 turn improved him to a flush with a low. The river was the Q and Lonis scooped the pot to send Perlman to the rail.

Naoya Kihara won't be making it three straight wins, as he was recently eliminated. Phil Ivey and Dylan Weisman were also sent to the rail.

Allen Kessler

2-7 Triple Draw

Christian Roberts raised in the hijack, and Allen Kessler called in the cutoff. Tyler Meservy then three-bet in the big blind, Roberts four-bet, and Kessler called. Meservy capped the betting, with Roberts and Kessler both tossing in calls.

Meservy drew one card, while Roberts and Kessler both took two. More bets and raises then hit the felt. Eventually, Kessler was all in for 7,500, and Roberts had committed his stack of 14,000 as well.

The trio then drew one card each on the second draw. On the third draw, Meservy and Roberts still required one before Kessler stood pat.

Kessler showed 9x7x6x5x2x for a nine-low. Meservy paired his 5x4x3x2x by turning over a 3x, and Roberts made an ace-low by catching an Ax with his 7x5x4x2x.

Kessler tripled up, while Roberts was awarded the small side pot to stay alive.

"In previous years, I would have lost that, but this might be my year," Kessler stated as he raked in the chips.

Lawrence Brandt

No-Limit Hold'em

Lawrence Brandt and Dylan Weisman went to a flop of 6J9 with around 15,000 in the pot when Brandt got in his last 156,500 from the big blind. Weisman put him at risk under the gun.

Lawrence Brandt: 99 All in
Dylan Weisman: KQ

Brandt showed a set of nines, but Weisman had flopped a flush and was poised for the knockout as the K fell on the turn. The river, though, was the 9 and Brandt improved to quads to win the massive pot and double up.

Ivey Can't Outdraw Iijima

Level 12

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Masafumi Iijima moved all in for 71,500 from the cutoff and Phil Ivey called in the hijack.

Iijima stood pat, while Ivey took one on each draw. Iijima turned over 8x7x4x3x2x, while Ivey was drawing with 7x6x3x2x. He turned over a Kx on his last card, and Iijima doubled up to leave Ivey on a short stack.

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

David Baker raised to 5,500 in the hijack, and Frank Kassela called in the cutoff. Phil Hellmuth then squeezed in a three-bet to 15,000 from the big blind, which both Baker and Kassela called.

Hellmuth remained pat on the draw, with Baker and Kassela each taking one card.

Hellmuth then checked, prompting Baker to bet 31,000, enough to put Hellmuth all-in. Kassela made a quick fold, but Hellmuth snap-called.

Baker showed 8x7x5x4x3x, eliminating Hellmuth as the all-time bracelet leader had patted a worse eight with 8x7x6x5x2x.
