Milgrom Fires at Trojand

Terricita Milgrom and Jeremy Trojand went heads-up to a flop of 983 where Milgrom bet on the button. Trojand called in the cutoff.

The turn was the 8 and Milgrom bet again. Trojand called, then called another bet on the J river.

Milgrom turned over A8 for trips, and Trojand mucked.

Dennis Weiss, who won the $1,500 version of this event yesterday, won't be adding a second Limit Hold'em bracelet as he was recently eliminated.

"Mamma Mia!" Negreanu Struggling

Daniel Negreanu, nursing a short stack of 15,000 within a few minutes of entering the tournament, took out his camera to document his frustrations. "I thought I might hang out with Dario. Have some wine. I lose with ace-king, ace-nine. Mamma mia!" he said.

Negreanu then opened under the gun and Michael Casella three-bet in the small blind. "I call that bullshit. What do you have, a pair?" Negreanu asked Casella.

"Minimum," Casella replied as the flop came 10A10. Casella then bet.

"I'm not even going to peel," Negreanu said as he quickly folded, saying he had a small pocket pair as he dropped down below 10,000.

Vitch Earns Himself the Pot

Kerry Welsh raised the hijack and Christopher Vitch three-bet from the cutoff. Angelo Karimalis cold-called from the big blind, and Welsh also called.

Everyone checked the 7KK flop and the K arrived on the turn.

Karimalis checked again and Welsh bet. Vitch called and Karimalis folded.

Welsh checked when he saw the 4 river and Vitch bet. Welsh folded and showed Q10 as Vtich pulled into the pot.

Scott Tuttle bet from the hijack on a flop of 976 and Jeremy Ausmus raised in the big blind. Tuttle then reraised, and Ausmus called.

The turn was the 4 and Tuttle bet. Ausmus called, and they got in the rest of Tuttle's chips on the 10 river.

Tuttle showed AA, but Ausmus had 96 for two pair to win the pot and send Tuttle to the rail.

Negreanu Takes a Quick Hit

"Raise. It's limit, what's the worst that can happen? You get three-bet? Who cares," Daniel Negreanu said as he opened in the cutoff soon after taking his seat in the tournament. Kyle Ray then three-bet in the small blind, and Negreanu called.

Ray continued with a bet on the J3J flop, and Negreanu called. Ray checked the 6 turn, Negreanu bet, and Ray called.

Both players checked the 4 river, and Ray showed A10. Negreanu mucked A9, and Ray took the pot with his ace-high, ten-kicker.

Twomley Gets Three Streets With Queens

Jonathan Twomley raised the button and James Obst called from the big blind.

Obst check-called bets on every street through the 548108 runout, and was shown QQ for an overpair by Twomley. Obst mucked, and Twomley chipped up.

Zlotnik Sends Out Challa With Ace-High

Shyamsundar Challa was all in for 3,500 from the small blind as Mikhail Zlotnik and David Lieberman built a side pot on a flop of 522.

Zlotnik then bet from the cutoff, and Lieberman called under the gun. Zlotnik bet again on the Q turn, and Lieberman folded this time.

Zlotnik showed AK, while Challa had 63. The 5 river was no help to Challa, and he was sent to the rail.

McKeehen Can't Shake Stacey

Patrick Stacey raised on the button and Joe McKeehen called in the big blind.

The flop came 3J2 and Stacey bet. McKeehen then raised, and Stacey called.

McKeehen bet on the Q turn, and Stacey stuck around to see the A river. Both players then checked, and Stacey showed J10 for a pair of jacks to win the pot.
