Pappis Wins a Big One With a Set

Charles Thomas raised from middle position and Moshe Gavrieli three-bet the hijack. Michael Pappis called on the button, and David Lieberman called from the small blind.

The flop came down A♣10♥3♦. Lieberman checked, Thomas bet, Gavrieli raised, Pappis called, Lieberman called, and Thomas called.

Still four ways to the K♣ turn. The action checked to Gavrieli, who bet and was met by a raise from Pappis. Only Gavrieli called.

Gavrieli check-called one final bet from Pappis on the 4♣ river and was shown a set by Pappis with 3♥3♠. Gavrieli mucked and Pappis dragged in the pot.

Pupillo led out with a bet on the 8♦ river, and Schindler called. Pupillo showed K♣Q♦ for top two pair, but Schindler had a set with Q♠Q♥ to win the big pot.

McKeehen bet on the 8♣K♣4♣ flop, and only Arieh called. He bet again on the 3♠ turn, but this time Arieh came back with a raise. McKeehen called.

The river was the K♥ and Arieh bet. McKeehen picked up his A♣A♥ and began shuffling them around in his hands before throwing them into the muck. Arieh allowed him to pick one of his cards, and McKeehen turned over the K♠.

Pappis turned over 3♠3♥ for a set. "That works, too. That's better than jack-three," Thomas added as he mucked K♥J♦.
