Level 9 : Limits 3,000/6,000, 0 ante
Kyle Ray
Kyle Ray

"If there's any tournament to have a wine night, it's this one," Daniel Negreanu said as he sat with a bottle and glass. Scott Seiver, who was just about to join the table, and Jesse Lonis then both ran off to get a plastic cup, and Negreanu poured some for them.

"You can't drink wine out of a plastic cup," Eli Elezra chimed in.

"Why not? It tastes better in a plastic cup," Lonis replied.

Meanwhile, Michael Casella had opened in middle position and Elezra called in the hijack. Kyle Ray then three-bet in the big blind, and both Casella and Elezra called.

Ray bet on the J3Q flop and Casella folded, while Elezra raised. Ray called, and the 9 fell on the turn.

Elezra then bet again, and Ray called. Both players checked down the 5 river, and Ray turned over AA to win the pot.

Daniel Negreanu raised from the hijack, then, as he turned to carve out another chunk of the succulent cake he had been feasting on for the past few hands, Jesse Lonis three-bet from the cutoff. Negreanu placed his cake back on his side table before putting in the call.

Negreanu checked the 8210 flop and Lonis bet. Negreanu check-raised and Lonis called.

Negreanu bet when he saw the 4 turn and Lonis raised. Negreanu thought for around 30 seconds and even apologized to his tablemates for taking so long.

In the end, Negreanu continued with a call.

The K river checked through and Negreanu tabled 109 for a pair of tens. Lonis had that beat with AA, and the cake-less Negreanu watched the pot get pushed the other way.
